Scale · AI and automation

Intelligent automation for the document-heavy work in Indian operations.

Intelligent automation (RPA and AI) for Indian enterprises whose teams still key in invoices, KYC files, claims and purchase orders by hand. NetScale measures one process and proves the automation on the organisation’s own documents. It then builds in fixed-scope phases, each signed off separately, with a governance step before anything reaches a system of record.

Each station is ticked as the document passes. Only after the governance step does it reach the system of record.Workflow botDecision engineGovernance stepSystem of recordSystem of record

What it is

Intelligent Automation (RPA + AI)

Intelligent automation pairs software robots (RPA), which repeat rule-based steps in your existing systems, with AI decision engines for the judgement calls rules cannot make.

Workflow bots move each case between people and systems, and conversational bots answer routine questions. The work it suits is high in volume and governed by rules: invoices, customer and KYC onboarding, claims and purchase-order routing. A governance step sits before anything reaches a system of record. What the automation cannot decide goes to a named owner.

Reading and extracting the documents themselves sits under Intelligent document processing (IDP).

Matching each invoice to its order and receipt before payment sits under DocInflow document audit.

Chatbots and assistants built into your own applications sit under Custom AI and GenAI solutions.

What we do.

Invoice processing, customer and KYC onboarding, claims and purchase-order routing, automated with decision engines and workflow bots.

  1. 01

    Invoice processing

Invoice capture, coding, approval routing and posting to your ERP or accounting system, with anything outside your rules held for review.

  2. 02

    Customer and KYC onboarding

Application intake, document collection, KYC checks against your own policy and account set-up, with each exception routed to the person who signs it off.

  3. 03

    Claims and purchase-order routing

Claims and purchase orders triaged on arrival and sent to the right team, approver or system, under written routing rules changed only through review.

  4. 04

    Workflow bots and decision engines

Software robots for the rule-based steps across your existing systems, and AI decision engines for the judgement calls, with each decision logged alongside its reason.

  5. 05

    Conversational bots

Bots that answer routine status and policy questions from staff, customers or suppliers, and hand over to a person when a question falls outside them.

How an engagement runs.

One document, inbox to system of record, drawn three times.

A path from inbox to system of record, through extraction, governance step and approval. Assess marks: manual steps; checks and exceptions. Deliver adds: a bounded proof first; exception path built. Operate adds: exceptions to a named owner; savings against the baseline.

India specifics and cost.

India specifics

  • KYC

For banks, NBFCs and other entities the RBI regulates, the RBI’s Know Your Customer Directions, 2025, issued separately for each type of entity, set what must be verified at onboarding. The automation follows your KYC policy as written and logs each decision. What the Directions require of you stays with your compliance team and counsel.

  • GST

Before an invoice is posted, the supplier’s GSTIN and tax lines are checked against your purchase records. Anything that disagrees is held for review.

  • DPDP

From 13 May 2027, the DPDP Rules require safeguards for personal data in KYC files and claims, including a year of logs. Bots run under named accounts, so every action they take is logged. Legal interpretation stays with your counsel.

  • CERT-In

Under the Directions of 28 April 2022, bot logs stay within India for a rolling 180 days, with clocks synchronised to NIC or NPL.

What drives the cost

  1. 01

Process count, and the steps and decision points in each.

  2. 02

Case volume each month: invoices, applications, claims or orders.

  3. 03

Systems the bots work in: ERP, accounting, bank, CRM and email.

  4. 04

Exceptions: how often a case falls outside the rules, and who reviews it.

Questions buyers ask about this.

What is the difference between RPA and intelligent automation?

RPA follows fixed rules, while intelligent automation adds AI for the steps a rule cannot settle. A software robot can key approved invoice data into the ERP. Reading an unfamiliar invoice layout, classifying a claim or approving within set limits needs AI. Most processes need both, with a person reviewing what falls outside the limits.

Will automation work with our existing ERP, Tally or BUSY?

Yes. The bots work in the systems you already run, including Tally or BUSY, through their screens or interfaces, the way your team does now. Nothing is replaced. A governance step sits before anything is written into the ERP, so a person approves what the automation cannot settle.

What happens to the cases automation cannot handle?

They go to a named person, with the reason the automation stopped. Each process has an exception path designed before the build: who reviews what, and how quickly, as agreed in writing. Exceptions are counted, so the rules can be widened where the same case keeps coming back.

How do we measure what automation saved?

Against a baseline written down before the build. The assessment records how the process runs today: volume, manual steps, checks and exceptions. The same measures are taken after go-live, on your own cases. We do not promise a saving in advance. The comparison shows what it was.

Which processes should we automate first?

Usually one with high volume, clear rules and a manual check repeated on every case. Invoice processing, KYC onboarding and claims routing often fit. The assessment measures the candidates on your own documents and says which to start with, or that none is ready yet, in writing.

Start with one process.

It costs nothing and commits you to nothing. You get a written list of where your IT environment is exposed, and your team can act on it with or without us.

What we put in writing

  1. The written findings are yours whether we ever work together or not.
  2. Each phase is fixed-scope and signed off separately.
  3. You can stop at any phase boundary.
  4. Runbooks, configurations and credentials are yours.
